The Work Shops - News

The Work Shop moves in time for Christmas!

When Shelley Alger and Phil Harmsworth started The Work Shop Recruitment Agency in Ringwood over 14 years ago they were confident that it would be a success but even they did not know then that eventually they would be in a position to buy their own commercial premises in the town. That dream came true during 2016 when they bought 15 West St, Ringwood and spent 4 months completely refurbishing it to ensure a warm and friendly place to work and visit. On Friday the 2nd of December The Work Shop moved into the new office and the move went very well with the staff coming in the following Monday with absolutely no disruption.

Phil Harmsworth said, “The purchase and relocation to our own premises in Ringwood is the culmination of several years of very hard work by our staff and without them it would not have been possible. The move cements our commitment to Ringwood for the long term and we hope our loyal clients, some of which have been with us since the beginning, will appreciate knowing we will be here to support them for many years to come.”

Since starting The Work Shop in Ringwood the company has opened offices in Poole and Romsey and now service clients as far afield as Southampton to Weymouth and Dorchester to Salisbury. Supplying permanent, temporary and contract staff in the commercial and engineering sectors, The Work Shop has an enviable reputation for providing first class, honest recruitment services. Phil continued “Since we started we have seen other agencies open and close whilst we have gone from strength to strength and we put that down to how honest and passionate we are about what we do. We really get to know our clients and treat everybody with the respect they deserve which means they appreciate what we do and recommend us to friends and colleagues. There are far too many recruitment agencies who only look at the short term financial gain available via shortcuts in the process but that very rarely works long term. Our success proves honesty pays”.
