A little about Rosie…
I am a recruitment consultant at The Work Shop, and have been here since May 2023. I was a dog groomer for 5 years before, so it has been quite the switch up! Prior to dog grooming I worked in hospitality for many years. I also lived in Australia for 2 years where I worked in a call centre in Sydney as a customer service agent. While in Australia I also completed my 88 days farm work on a green bean farm in Queensland which was quite an experience.
How (and why) did you get into recruitment?
After 5 years as a dog groomer, I decided I had had enough of being on my feet for 9 hours a day and I wanted to find an office-based role. I was contacted by The Work Shop for a customer service job but after chatting we decided I would fit in well as a candidate consultant for the agency! I am very grateful for this opportunity.
What do you like best about recruitment/your job?
I love speaking with the candidates and finding out about all their needs and then the feeling I get when a job fits with them perfectly with them is amazing! I love guiding the candidate through the whole process and nothing beats the feeling of securing them the role they want.
And not work related…Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?
I don’t think I have met anyone famous, however I danced on Blue Peter when I was 9, so I’m pretty much a celebrity myself!
