A little about Oriana…
I am Assistant Branch Manager of our Romsey office. I joined the Work Shop in 2021 after finishing university and gaining valuable experience in the retail sector. Since joining, I have progressed to a Senior Recruitment Consultant and gained a Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation. I was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager in April 2024.
How (and why) did you get into recruitment?
I was inspired by a lecturer at university to explore the world of recruitment. As a recruiter, I play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent for companies across Hampshire. I engage in a variety of tasks daily, including candidate sourcing, screening and assessment, interview coordination, as well as negotiation and business development.
What do you like best about recruitment/your job?
I believe the role of a recruiter offers a multitude of rewarding experiences, including having the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on candidates’ lives, engaging in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry and cultivating strong relationships with candidates and clients.
And not work related…Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?
My favourite music band is Pearl Jam – I’ve seen Eddie Vedder a few metres away at a music festival in Portugal!
