Key Responsibilities of the Urban Designer:
- Carry out and oversee the preparation of conceptual urban design projects
- Act as a key player in delivering large strategic masterplans
- Prepare conceptual and feasibility studies, masterplanning, development briefs, design strategies and supporting drawings
- Working with a wider team, you will support/manage small/middle-size projects
- Manage delegated projects in respect of timescales and client liaison
Key attributes of the Urban Designer:
- Previous experience working as urban designer and good hand-drawn skills
- Experience working in an architectural practice on residential projects
- Good proficiency in using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD and/or Sketchup rendering/visualisation packages
- Hold a recognised Urban Design qualification and passion for creating great spaces
- A strong portfolio with excellent creative design and graphic skills
- Proficient communicator both verbally and written with good hand drawing skills
- Good attention to detail and creative ability
