An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Fabrications Design Manager to join their growing team near Poole.

The Role

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fabrications Office, ensuring the efficient delivery of design, fabrication, and administrative processes. You will also be hands-on in producing detailed CAD and SolidWorks drawings, supporting both internal teams and external clients with technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily running of the Fabrications Office and its associated activities.

  • Produce detailed and accurate CAD/SolidWorks drawings and technical calculations.

  • Maintain and update CAD systems, CRM records, and internal project documentation.

  • Support the general fabrications team, providing technical advice and assistance as required.

  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

  • Prepare and submit customer quotations within agreed timeframes.

  • Stay up to date with all technical aspects of the company’s products and services.

  • Undertake relevant training to develop and maintain technical and managerial skills.

  • Ensure the CRM system and project records are consistently accurate and current.


 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Proven sheet metal or mechanical design experience.

  • Strong understanding of technical and architectural drawings.

  • Proficient with Office 365, including Outlook and Excel.

  • Experience using a CRM system.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.


 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Adobe software.

  • Knowledge of SketchUp.
