Are you a skilled fabricator or welder used to working with steel and other metals? Why not give working with plastics a try? Plastics are fully weldable and can be fabricated into many forms including pipe spools, tanks and vessels, and many other products.

If you can fabricate and weld steel, the skills required for plastic welding are easily transferable. Plastic pipework and fabrication is a growing market, and my client has been at the forefront for over 70 years.

Welding plastic is cleaner and safer that welding metals, and more environmentally friendly. As well as being much lighter and easier to handle than metals, and thermo-plastic is fully recyclable and not just a single use material.

My client has invested in a state-of-the-art production facility and is looking for experienced and qualified metal welders to transfer their skills to working with plastics.

Full training will be provided for the transition and the position offers excellent opportunities for becoming a qualified plastic fabricator.

The hours of the role are Monday to Thursday: 0730–1700, Friday: 0730–1600, and the salary ranges from £24k to 32k depending on experience.
