We are proud to be recruiting for an exciting and well-regarded client based in Poole, who are looking for a Compliance Co-Ordinator to join their friendly and supportive team. As a Compliance Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s management systems for Quality, Safety, Health and Environment including the developing area of Sustainability in its broadest sense, whilst ensuring that company policy meets legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities will include:
• Manage the company compliance plans, including policy, processes and procedures regarding:

  • Quality Assurance / Control
  • Sustainability including Environmental, Social and Governance
  • Health & Safety
    • Assure product compliance to relevant current regulations: pyrotechnic, toy, REACH, timber, labelling, CE / UKCA and so on, creating Declarations of Conformity, Material Safety Data Sheets, Product Safety Reviews as well as horizon scanning for future legislative changes
    • Maintain and improve product quality by completing checks against product specifications, carrying out internal audits, reviewing customer complaints and investigating non-conformities
    • Manage customer and supplier audits, reviewing Self Audit Questionnaires, third-party audits and inspections, non-conformances, and corrective action plans
    • Participate in existing and new product development projects to ensure design for compliance and risk management
    • Represent Quality, Safety, Health and Environment matters with internal and external stakeholders, including statutory bodies
    • Manage the compliance budget

Key Skills/Requirements for role
• Skilled in administering quality management systems
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and accreditation standards
• Experience of continuous improvement in a production environment
• Professional qualifications in one or more of the compliance areas is desirable

Ideal Candidate

• One or more years’ experience in a similar role

• The role depends on maintaining good internal and external relationships so you will need good verbal and written communication and people skills, and happy to represent the business at internal meetings and externally with customers and suppliers
