We are ‘Recruiters Who Care’ … whether you are an employer looking for staff or a worker looking for a new career, we will try our best to help.
When we were putting this website together we were asked “what makes you different?” and the answer to that is very hard to get across in words on a website. We are different – we know that because we are told so by our clients and candidates all the time. Why are we different? Well probably because we are honest, we care about our profession and we are hugely enthusiastic.
Another very important difference between The Work Shop and most other agencies is that we don’t have to try and meet unrealistic targets set by “Head Office”. Targets in our industry, such as insisting a Recruitment Consultant send out 50 CV’s a day or making 100 sales calls to busy, harassed clients, are the very reason our industry does not always enjoy the best of reputations.
Instead of creating a target driven culture, we employ professional, conscientious people who want to do the job properly without the need for management to enforce targets that can end up destroying the client relationship we have built up over such a long period of time. We encourage our Recruitment Consultants to “do the right thing” which means doing what is right for our Clients and for our Candidates – not what might be right for us in the short term.
Our Consultants work very hard to really understand what skills and experience are required for each vacancy but more than that, they want to know what personality our clients are looking for. They will then only send our clients the CV’s of candidates that we have met or, at the very least, had an in-depth telephone conversation with if time is of the essence. That means we will not be wasting our clients time, our candidates time or of course, our time.
Given that our services are free if we don’t deliver, what has a client got to lose by trying us out and seeing if we are “different”? Candidates don’t pay us anything anyway so if you are looking for a new career please get in touch. We want to show you just how good our industry really can be.
