Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk – Waterlooville – Salary: £27,000

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client is expanding, and we’re seeking a talented individual to join our finance team at our Head Offices in Waterlooville.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will:

  • Validate invoices against purchase orders
  • Code financial transactions appropriately
  • Post purchase ledger invoices and credits to Sage accurately
  • Reconcile supplier statements received
  • Process and prepare supplier payments, staff expenses, and track all payments
  • Reconcile credit cards and petty cash
  • File invoices and statements electronically
  • Check all financial transactions for accuracy
  • Support the month-end reporting process
  • Handle accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliation

Your Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a purchase ledger clerk
  • Proficiency in SAGE 50 and Excel
  • Experience in accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and bi-weekly BACS payment runs
  • COVID-19 vaccination in compliance with safety measures

Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00
