Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk – Waterlooville – Salary: £27,000

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will:
- Validate invoices against purchase orders
- Code financial transactions appropriately
- Post purchase ledger invoices and credits to Sage accurately
- Reconcile supplier statements received
- Process and prepare supplier payments, staff expenses, and track all payments
- Reconcile credit cards and petty cash
- File invoices and statements electronically
- Check all financial transactions for accuracy
- Support the month-end reporting process
- Handle accruals, prepayments, and intercompany reconciliation
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a purchase ledger clerk
- Proficiency in SAGE 50 and Excel
- Experience in accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and bi-weekly BACS payment runs
- COVID-19 vaccination in compliance with safety measures
Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00
