Operations Manager – Nursling, Southampton – Salary: £45,000

Are you a dynamic leader ready to take charge and elevate our clients operations to new heights? Our client are who are based in Nursling, are looking for an Operations Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring top-notch efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take the helm and oversee all aspects of our operation. You’ll be the driving force behind our warehouse and logistics activities.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that boost efficiency, productivity, and customer happiness.
• Ensure our team size aligns with our business needs and strategy. Plan and position resources effectively, optimizing process flows.
• Lead process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and 5s principles to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce errors, enhance quality, and streamline our operations.
• Determine work procedures, create schedules, and expedite workflow to keep our operation running smoothly.
• Keep an eye on ACE metrics, analyse data, and address root causes with corrective actions.
• Manage non-conformities with a focus on maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Identify and fulfill training and development needs through people development programs.

Requirements for the Operations Manager:

• Proven experience in manufacturing and operations management, preferably in the Aerospace or similar industry
• Strong leadership skills
• Experience in Quality management initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5s
• Strong organisation and planning skills
• Experience in bonded warehouse management
