Conveyancing Secretary

A progressive, expanding legal firm in Ringwood are looking for an experienced conveyancing secretary. This company supports and encourages career development in a fun and supportive environment. Main Responsibilities:

• Process documents
• Assist in communication with clients, taking telephone calls and accurately recording messages and providing assistance wherever possible
• Assist in the personal organisation of fee-earner(s) through the operation of a diary management system, including a bring forward system, key dates and filing papers etc
• Undertake admin duties associated with the position such as filing photocopying etc
• Maintain an effective filing system for all client and other matters
• Provide such secretarial/administrative activities as may reasonably be required by the allocated fee-earner(s)


• Managing client interface
• Timely, accurate and attractive presentation of correspondence and documents
• Regular reviews of document appearance and content
• Accurate filing and general administration (measures – audits and file reviews)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Secretarial experience in the relevant area(s) of law
• High standard of written and spoken English
• Word processing skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as working on own initiative
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Adaptability and flexibility

The Candidate:

This role will suit a skilled Secretary with previous Conveyancing experience and knowledge of the process from instruction to completion.

Hours Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm with a 1hr lunch break
Salary £23k – £25k DOE + benefits
