Our local precision engineering client (Leading supplier to the Super yacht and high-performance yacht market) with over 20 years’ experience within the industry are looking to recruit for a ‘Quality Inspector’ to join their team.

 

SALARY & HOURS:

Monday – Thursday (8AM – 5PM)

Friday – (8AM -1PM)

Up to £13 P/H – DOE

 

JOB SPECIFICATION:

-Accountability for maintaining all stock housed within the Company including responsibility for quality inspections.

-Orderly and efficient management of the stores room and other defined stock areas.

-Undertaking cyclical stock checks to qualify stock data held on the system.

-Undertake role of quality inspector, to inspect all manufactured parts either from BOF or in-house machining for engineering compliance to check.

-Responsible for maintaining the quality standards of incoming material, in-process production and finished products.

-Approval of incoming & in-process materials by visual inspection, perform dimensional inspection against drawings utilising precision measuring tools and equipment.

-Approved finished products by confirming specifications, finishes and perform dimensional inspection against drawings utilising precision measuring tools and equipment.

-Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes.

-Administration of all incoming related documentation, purchase orders, drawings, delivery notes, materials, certificates of conformity.

-Raise NCR where applicable, manage supplier concessions, non-conformances, rejections and returns.

-Management of goods in with efficient processes in place for receipting goods in and managing non-conformances/remedial work.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

– Experienced background and track record in Quality Assurance.

– Ability to read Engineering Drawing and converse on a technical level.

– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

– Willingness to work extended hours as and when the needs of the business dictate.

– Good team player.
